Gladly introducing the Malaysians at Trent to you:

Malaysian students at Trent.. Some are not in the picture.

3) Melaporkan akviti-aktiviti pelajar Malaysia di Trent, so that our parents will get updated of what we are doing here.

Cultural Outreach performance by MySat.

On March 20th, 2010, Malaysian students at Trent proudly presented  Malaysia cultural heritage in front of Peterborough citizens at Showplace, Peterborough ON, Canada. This event was our baby step in order to  introduce our country to Canadians (or non-canadians that are living in canada) .. As sadly saying that some people dun even know where on earth is Malaysia.. (wat???xpenah blajar geo ker??)

Ok, wanna talk a little bit about our performance.. We had 3 parts of performance; which for the first part, we showed how does a typical Malaysia village look like.. For that part, we showed several traditional games, like congkak, batu serembat, lompat-getah-should-be (tp sbb getah agak sukar utk didapati di kanada ni, so kiteorg rembat je la tali), gasing (some of us pun ade yg first tengok gasing time nih).

permainan congkak

For the second part of the performance, the guys did perform martial art or silat. Time nih la terserlah ke'macho'an jejaka2 Trent nih, hehe.

Silat

Then, the last part was a typical performance by Malaysian students (overseas) which is --> Dance! This dance was performed by all the' perempuan-melayu-terakhir at trent' on that day..  ;p

~practice sblom perform~

Most of the props were provided by CMA (Canada Malay Association). Thank you very much CMA!
